    Venue Accessibility at BMA House

Here at BMA House, accessibility is hugely important to us.

We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space and removing any barriers to participation in events at BMA House.

To make events accessible to all, we have worked with AccessAble to create detailed access guides using facts, figures, and photographs to help visitors plan their journeys to and around BMA House.

This includes parking facilities, assistive listening, walking distances, and accessible toilets.

We understand that everyone’s accessibility needs are different, which is why having detailed, accurate information is so important. All of the details you’ll find in the guides have been checked in person, on site, by trained surveyors.

We hope that this guide benefits all BMA House staff, members, and visitors.

You can view and download our AccessAble guides below.

    Getting Here

We are located in Tavistock Square in central London, just off Euston Road. Both standard and Blue Badge on street parking is available on the north side of Tavistock Square. Alternatively, we have 21 parking bays which are available via prior arrangement only.

There is a bus stop within 150 metres of our venue, and stops N and K are directly outside of the venue for the routes 59, 68, 91, 169 and N91.

Our nearest railway station and underground station is Euston, which is 350 metres from our venue.

    Mobility

Our main entrance and reception are step free, whilst there’s a lift available for public use to reach floors B, G, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

We have an accessible toilet on the ground flood, located opposite the Member’s Lounge as well as on the first floor opposite the Bloomsbury Room.

    Facilities

We have fixed hearing assistance systems available in multiple event spaces, as well as portable hearing assistance systems that are available across all meeting rooms without fixed loops.

Our reception has water bowls for assistance dogs, and wheelchairs are also available. Our friendly team are always happy to help, and there will be a member of staff available to assist from reception.

    Guide Dogs (UK)

We now have three members of our events team who have been trained by Guide Dogs UK as Community Sighted Guides, allowing us to provide an inclusive environment for those with sight issues when attending an event at BMA House.

Read our press release here, which highlights why Guide Dogs UK choose BMA House for their events. We are also a member of the Business Disability Forum, which is a non-profit organisation that tries to build disability-smart organisations.
