The central London awards ceremony venue

An awards ceremony is often a multifaceted event, comprising several distinct elements including a drinks reception, a dinner and the awards themselves. A successful London awards ceremony venue needs to be able to deliver each of these parts without compromise, something we’re confident we can do here at BMA House.

Overlooking the picturesque Tavistock Square, BMA House is the ideal destination for any special occasion. With its exquisite architecture and historic grandeur, our stunning venue will provide the perfect backdrop for your awards celebration. With an array of flexible indoor and outdoor spaces available for hire, we can accommodate events of all sizes.

As well as being a unique, historic London venue, BMA House also boasts fabulous transport links, with Euston tube station just a five minutes’ walk away and St Pancras International and Eurostar only ten minutes on foot.

    Catering

Lots of our clients tell us that one of the main reasons they rebook with us is because of the exquisite catering provided by our catering partner, Company of Cooks. Their innovative, British-inspired menus are not only delicious, but also prepared using seasonal ingredients sourced from suppliers that uphold the same ethical values that they do.
Highlights from the current fine dining menu include Spiced beetroot croquettes with spinach chutney, cauliflower, yoghurt and batter scraps starter, a Pan-fried hake, saffron potato puree, braised fennel and green beans with sauce vierge main course and a Blackcurrant panna cotta, coconut sorbet, berries, raspberry powder and meringue shards dessert. The kitchens also offer fully vegan menus if required and are happy to serve a tasting meal for confirmed bookings (min numbers apply).

Discover why we were chosen, for five consecutive years, to host the most sustainable awards ceremony, The Global Good Awards, here.

    Audio visual equipment and support

As you would expect, BMA House is fully-equipped with state-of-the-art AV equipment and every awards ceremony is allocated a dedicated technician. This means you can rest assured your event will run smoothly, leaving you free to meet and greet your guests on the night.

A high-definition screen (6x6x4.2m) sits on a raised stage at one end of our Great Hall giving every seat in the house a fabulous view of your speaker and your winners as they go up to collect their awards. A sophisticated lighting system will also give you the chance to brand the space in your company colours or those of your chosen event theme and the superb speakers will ensure every name announced and joke made will be heard by every member of the audience.

    Indoor spaces

The Great Hall at BMA House can comfortably seat up to 200 guests on rounds and its stage has steps on either side to assist with the flow of winners. The room’s high ceilings and stunning, period features help add a real sense of occasion to any awards ceremony and we have a raised platform to assist with any accessibility needs. As well as this stunning space for your main event, BMA House has a choice of three, separate spaces for your pre-dinner drinks and canapes.

BMA House also has a ‘green room’ close to the stage which can be used for any pre-event prep for which you might need a separate space.

The Paget room is situated on the ground floor and enjoys direct access to our stunning Courtyard. Unsurprisingly a popular choice for summer events, this space is home to some of the most interesting features found in our building, namely the Spanish mahogany panelling and tiles from the BMA’s previous home on The Strand.

As its name might suggest, the Garden room is attached to our other outdoor space, a beautiful botanical garden. The room benefits from vast windows and a double-height ceiling, a fixed bar and areas in which live music can be staged.

The Snow room, also on the ground floor of BMA House and with access to the Courtyard, is light and bright and boasts original Lutyens windows. This room can be used on its own, or for larger events, in conjunction with its neighbour, the Paget room.

    Outdoor spaces

If you’re hosting your London awards ceremony in the summer months, BMA House has two, fabulous spaces – the Courtyard and the Garden – which can be used for your welcome reception drinks. Outdoor lighting, a red carpet entrance and live music can also be incorporated into your event to help make the night one your guests will remember for years to come.
